Trivia Question The Emotions, known originally as the Heavenly Sunbeams, began performing as children, singing gospel music in their hometown of Chicago. Their father and manager, Joe Hutchinson, taught them how to sing, how to read music, and how to harmonize.

This song broke onto the pop charts in June 1977 and spent 23 weeks on the best-seller lists. Five of those weeks were spent in the number one position.
